Engine or Tranny? WOT?

The VQ30 is bulletproof and can take the abuse. The tranny...well....let's just say it's not as good as the engine.

That said, what is the point of this thread?

It's like asking "I use my lights alot - which do you think will burn out first - my low beams or my taillights"

I have probably quite alot more beating on my VQ than you do at 112K miles- I sprayed it with 100 shot of NOS for some time, then took NOS off, reinstalled it later on with 75 shot, I redline it EVERY day, I even redline 4th gear every other day. I have no problems. My engine sounds good enough to hit 200+K miles.

Now that you ask.. just put the car in Neutral and push the pedal to the metal...... until the engine goes "PUFF" then I will tell you the engine will go first.

Who knows and no one can answer that question, just stop beating your car and enjoy driving it ...trust when you blew the tranny and the engine you will cry to have it back.

Good luck

Tranny will deffinately be the first to go, but what does it matter if you know that you beat on it why do you care? If you really care and are worried about it stop beating on it and you'll be fine.

I don't think flooring your car every time you drive it is bad. I do more than once on each of my cars. It's not beating your car, nuetral dropping and bouning off the limter for 5 minutes consecutively would be considered beating on ...
