I've recently found my clutch the begin slipping whilst changing gears rapidly, especially in higher gears 3rd, 4th, and 5th. And suddenly in the last few weeks i've noticed it grabbing a bit higher up than usual, and i'm finding it only locking up fully at the end (less than spec freeplay) . All of these sure signs of a clutch on the way, and it's about time to upgrade anyway. I've already decided on a Fidanza flywheel, and I'm looking to see what you guys have found the best clutch for a mild street setup. I'm looking for a full-face street sprung disc, and slightly stronger pressure plate. The few companies i've looked at are Exedy, ACT, Competition Clutch. I'm leaning towards ACT simply due to availability and price. Opinions?

it's got 121,700, it's not gone, but it will be in another 10k, which is only about 4 months for me.

i am going to put in a spec stage II in my 2k. i have two buddies that have them, one in a sr20det 240sx and the other in a Nitrous cobra. both like them a lot, and i've driven the 240 and like it. so i'm sure that i'll like the spec in my car. i got mine from the group deal here on the .org for $295 shipped and it arrived i think like 5 days later.

for NA applications, you'll be fine with a spec stage 1. I'd stay away from the stage 2 due to the kevlar application

yeah the stage II is harsh, if you're going to build big power it's nice, I'm looking at a full-face single disc, leaning toward organic for engangement quality, and make up the grip in pressure-plate force. I'd use a metallic disc, but def. not a 6 puck or multi-disc, I run mostly on the street, and it's my daily so i've got some compromises, I've been looking at Exedy but can't find a source for them
