If you had a reason why you needed this info someone may help. Just to disable speedo/odometer your gonna be on your own. If you want to stop adding miles just cut the big red cable at the battery. Works on every make of car.

"Early" '00 5-speeds have a speed sensor on the rear/upper portion of the trans- "Late" or "00.5" cars use the signal from the ABS sensor and have no speed sensor. There is a little metal cap on the trans to plug the sensor hole. What's your production date?

your ABS lite on ? Speed sensor is mounted in the back right on top of the diff on cars that have em. My car is production date 5-01 and its the last of the 3.0s, I have no speed sensor on the tranny. If you have no ABS light on, its probably the early style one- sensor is about 80 bux new, and takes about 20 min to change.

Yes my ABS light is on and Nissan told me that my speedo was controlled by one of my ABS sensors so now I have to figure out which one isnt working so I can replace it.

well the Nissan dealership who diagnosed your car is a buncha f-ing morons, cause all you need to do is check for any stored codes in the ABS computer via Consult- takes about 20 sec to do, and it will tell them which sensor is in need of repleacement. Did you just have a wheel bearing done on your car ? Sensor is about 80 bux, and not 533, its EZ to repleace and if they charge you more than half hour to repleace it you are getting rapped by them.

yea the dealer should of told you which sensor it is that needs to be replaced. the 2 in the front are usually what go bad--but ive also seen people use aftermarket cv axles and some do not come with a sensor ring on the axle. the sensor is located by the brake caliper. so you should ask the dealer which one--and anything from the dealer can be expensive--I work at one so im glad i get that half off deal
