Tranny problem

I got my transmission replaced under warranty about a year ago maybe longer and it has never felt the same since. In the mornings the shifts are very bad. Sometimes I can't even get into first gear and shifting into 2nd and 3rd feels like it grinds everytime, but I don't think its grinding it just feels extremely notchy. What could this problem be? I was thinking synchros, but this problem only happens in the mornings and after its been driven for 10+ mins it shifts smooth like before. The only other thing I can think of is that the transmission oil isn't being circulated enough in the morning? so maybe the oil level is low? Any ideas??

I think my car is still covered under warranty. I have the extended power train warranty. I think that is 8yr/80k miles or something? Can anyone confirm this and would they cover my transmission still under this warranty?

btw, I have ~77,000 miles 01 SE 5 speed

Let me know what happenes when you take it to the dealer. I sort of have the same problem, happened after I changed gear selector switch and changed the oil. I think it needs to be rebuilt. I got 100k miles on it.

Change the fluid and put synthetic in there. That will definitely help with the cold shifts. How old is your clutch?
