Driver seat motor TSB question
I have an 02, with 45K. When the car had around 33K , I had the driver seat problem, where it wouldn't move forward and back. Of course, the day i took it to the dealer it worked fine.
Now about 6 months later, the same problem is back. Now I am out of warranty. I have a copy of TSB 02-001C, what are my chances of getting this done under warranty?
Thanks

I had to take my max in at 18k miles because the seat would not go forward or backward. They said it was because the connections were dirty, so they cleaned them and it has worked since, but I am skepticle.........
I would explain your situation to a service Mgr. and maybe he will look at it because it was a warranty issue before, its worth a try.
good luck!

I've got a very similar problem, and my warranty is expired.
My right side gear shaft turns, but my left gear shaft does not.
I can "help it along" by turning it with my hand, so it will catch
up, both shafts move together for a little bit, and then the left stops working
again. (It's like the left is getting in a bind or something).
What do you guys think ? I've checked the best I can and there doesn't
appear to be anything in the tracks prohibiting smooth movement in the
left tract/rail.?
Thanks,
-Ken

in the bulletin we replace the motor and the worm gears--if you guys have a good service record at a dealer then the chances of getting them to cover it, is better--they can try to" Good Will" the parts and labor to Nissan, but it is up to Nissan to determine whether or not they will pay for it---I have seen Nissan pay for some outragous stuff at our dealer---so give it a shot. this is for the other guy as well--- Mr Maxima

My driver side seat wouldn't go forward or backwards either, so I just took it in last week and they replaced the motor under my extended warranty. I also had the SES light and high idol/bad gas milleage from cleaning my throttle body. I told them I didn't know why the SES light was on, so they checked, and one day later I have a new TB also covered by the extended warranty. Now my SES light is gone, and my car doesn't feel like it's trying to run away from me any more. I'm so glad I got the extended warranty.
