Low Gas Mileage... I Really Need Help!

00 GLE - Auto.

$1.77 per gallon... I put $20.00 in.
Got about 11.299 gallons.

Tank was on empty with the Reserve Light On.

I only got 175.5 miles from 11.299 gallons!!!

Thats basically only 8mpg

I just had my oil change done about a month ago and I maintain the car reguarly. I have a CAI & I drive normally. I only push it when I need too.

Does it have to do anything with any programming? I'm tired of paying so much for gas. Can somebody help me?

Low gas mileage.

Please check your math. According to my calculator, you are getting ~15.5
mpg. Happy traveling.http://forums.maxima.org/newreply.ph...e=1&p=3664617#

Yup...15.6 is the math I got...total miles driven over total gallons used = MPG.

Maybe you should have your fuel system checked. That might be where your problems are.

15.5 MPG is pretty good....that's city driving right?

If driven gently that's what my 00 gets. Seemingly my 97 doesn't do quite as well, which is a bit of a pissoff. 15.5 is only acceptable if you're ragging on the car a good bit; otherwise you've got a problem.

maybe because the engines share the same block, and are basically the same size.
