What are the best all around wiper blades?

I'm in the north east and the wiper blades on my car aren't doing a very a good job. They work fine when they go up but when they come back down they leave water on the windshield. What are the best wipers to use all year round? The Nissan dealership has Wurth blades, which may be what are on my car, they said they would see if they had a set OEM blades hanging around.

I got some PIAA refills from Autobarn.com. I think I paid around $20 for 2k2 refills. So far they seem to work pretty well. They seem to streak a little, but are very quiet.

Canadian Tire has just started pushing a hingeless wiper. As most of you know, the biggest problem with wiper operation is that the hinges freeze, and the blade can't flex to meet the glass properly. I don't know where you can buy these in the States, but it looks like an interesting design.

By far the best wipers!!!! If you guys locate these in the States I highly recommend them, no lift what so ever at high speeds.

How about Nissan Blades, I've never had problems with them.
Plus they're fairly priced.

A forum without questions is one I do not bookmark and visit. There is not one question in the last 20 pages of questions that could not be found already asked and answered. But then, you wouldn't find out about any new stuff. Why even post? Why did I post? Oh well....past my bedtime.....

SILBLADES still rock-they don't wear out cuz they're not made of rubber. Rubber wears out cuz the oil (mist) that hits the windshield acts as a solvent and erodes the rubber.

I got those hingerless (Valeo) and I am very impressed. They work great under all conditions. No streaks or noises, and nice clean glass...perfect.

I got them for $24 (ultimatewiperblade.com) vs. $39 (tirerack). They now sell them for $29.95 each using discount code SECRETDEAL.

i've had the PIAA's for about 4 months and periodically apply alcohol wipes to the windshield since PIAA instructions say to do so and i always use Invisible Glass b4 that and i never have any streaks.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I just wanted to say that with a good coat of Rain-X on your windshield, you almost won't even need windshield wipers, especially at highway speeds. Where I live, in Texas, wipers blades melt very quickly in the hot sun, so it's really not worth it to buy expensive blades, because they're not going to last very long.

That was a very unecessary bump. I've been using Rain-X from Advance Auto and they seem to be pretty good...

By far Bosch Icons. I've had mine going on 3 years now and they still work perfect. I had PIAAs before them, and they only lasted about 6 months. BTW, it rains a LOT here (Louisiana) so they see some use...

EDIT: just noticed how old the thread was...

i got these rain-x wipers...forgot the name...they are the flexible kinds the ones without the metal frame.

i must say these are the best wipers i've ever used. they are smooth and quiet and no streaking...even when the windshield is completely dry it still doesn't squeek. i added rainx to the windshield too and together it works super good. i bought mine from pepboys for like 35 or 40 bucks i think.

edit: oops sorry didn't know this thread was so old lol

wiper blades
Walmart, michellen and rain-x make them. They're not bad but terrible in the winter they dont move snow and ice very well.

I've had one set of PIAA's for the last 3yrs and they're durable as hell and trouble free! I've only cleaned them twice! Most wipers never make a full year here in Houston, Tx cause of the UV's and heat.
