Has anyone with a Grey lustre 2k2 max painted their grill to match the grey lustre? What paint did you use? Where did you get it?

I like it too. I just need to know where to get the paint. I don't want it to look all mismatched. With 2 threads about it I'm sure someone knows where to get the grey lustre matching paint for my grill.

when i had to touchup paint on my Accord, i used towerpaint.com, its a factory match, very nice.

Tower Paint is very good, and only a few miles away from where I live. They specialize in auto finishes.

Love your car!! How much was the exhaust, and do you like it? Loud? or not? Also, where do you get Hyper white bulbs?

Thanks for the compliment. I think my muffler cost me about $100 shipped, the b-pipe and muffler installed was about another $100. The Y-pipe was $225 and I installed myself. I like the setup but I must say it is a little loud for my taste. This is because I use my car for work and have to sell jobs. The performance aspect of it all does make a very noticeable difference. It's a pretty deep growl especially for a Max. But it is not the obnoxious Honda sound. The hyper white bulbs I've been having on for a while. Almost everything was purchased off of E-bay.

Honestly, I didn't do it. A guy parked a flatbed truck on my hood, so while they were repainting the hood, fender, door, and bumper, and replacing the windshield, I had them paint the grill and engine cover. I assume it would be the same prep you'd do on any plastic part (like a bumper).

prep:
sand with 400 grit sandpaper. Prime (2 coats). sand with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper. coat with paint (2 coats). Let dry a few hours. 2 coats of clearcoat. Done. (in that order)

I got mine painted at the dealer as well as my MT Lip. The nissan dealer gave me a huge deal and painted them and installed my Lip for $125.

Im getting mine painted possibly next week at a body shop!!! Cant wait to see how it turns out. Is it possible to paint over a powdercoated intake?? will the paint stick to the powdercoating?? I may want to paint match my intake also

I know with my Stainless steel grill, the body shop didn't want to paint it because the paint wouldn't stick too well. I haven't had any problems with it yet.
