How do these 2 compare? As far as everything, we all know the price difference.

i have JICs and the ride is rough, any coilover set is going to be. But, its rough in a good kinda way. i went from tein Stech/gr2s to JICs and the ride difference was night and day. i was bouncing all over the place, and now with the JICs the car is not bouncy at all and you have to love full suspension travel! i dont know about the D2s, i'll let someone else comment on those!

I think they are smoother than stock...i have mine set to 1/1 and they ride smoother than stock, and don't bottom out all over the place like the stock suspension....

for about $850 you can't go wrong....even JICs flt-a1s still cost a good $400 more......and the FLT-A2s cost twice as much as the D2s......

unless someone has had both suspensions then no one can speak on this matter.


JIC ride quality don't compare to my Illuminas/Tein. JIC was much nicer.

I'm pretty darn sure both suspension setups are stiff....I don't think you can compare both and say one is smoother than the other.....because they both come with 9/7 spring rates stock....i'm sure they are equally stiff

ive been very happy with my jic's. i used to have maxspeeds on stockers, and the ride with those wasnt much softer. i have my jic's set to 3/2 right now. 1/1 didnt seem to have tight enough steering. i live on some bumpy roads, and it doesnt seem too rough to me. any coilover system is gonna act differant than a spring strut combo, the whole suspension just works together better. even a well matched combo wont feel as balanced.

What do the rest of u jic us-1 owners have your settings at for daily driving?

So it sounds like most people with the jic coilovers get the FLT-A1US/FLT-1US. My question is how long will these last as compared to normal suspension.

I can't say much about JIC's since I've never rode on them. Compared with stock I can say the D2's are a lot better ride than stock. Really for the money, the D2's are very comparable to the set up of the FLA-2's and i think the mono piston in the strut is just a tad bigger than the JIC's. So far, for what you get I can't see spending anymore on the JIC's over the D2's. I really like the lowered look, but hated the harsh ride. I've talked with several JIC owners and one said he could feel the paint stripes on the rode. THe D2's are VERY mild. Even when set stiff they really didn't bounce or jerk that much. People that ride in my car say they can't really tell its been lowered 2 3/4 inches by the way it rides, but you can by how it handles. I know if I had it to do all over again, I still would do the D2's
