This picture clearly shows the "air scoop" on the Altima moves air directly into the intakes path. Has anyone tried to fit this on a Maxima? I'm sure the gains would be minimal if anything, but every bit helps. I wonder if all you would need to do is drill holes in the front support brace and put those 4 little clips in.

After looking at this pic of my car, I realize the battery is in the way. Should have checked that first.

i doubt you would really see any diff, it would be a better idea if you could run a scoop from a place that can run more and cooler air.

I think you can add a hose a big one from under the car and make it look like a Cold Air intake or something. Cosmetic... I don't think so but it will work...

the reason why we have out intakes behind the batter is to provide some kind of heat shiel "heat shield"

if u move your filter by the air scoop .. your gonna get engine air .. very hot..

i think the altima intake is well made

funny you should mention that the altima intake is made well
I made it..no seriously..Anytime you get the chance..look for a ABC(in an oval) symbol on the intake..thats the name of the company that i worked for when i designed it.
Also you cant move it over since there is a resonator dangling beneath the airintake
