Injen

hey guys i am planning on getting a injen RD cold air intake on my 02. i need all the feedback i can get. i mean is it really worth the money. i am looking for a difference mainly in power not really focusing on sound. also i had a few questions. first can i get a injen intake and put a K&N airfilter on it. will it screw it up in terms of power. also is the heat shield for the cold air really usefull or is it just a gimmick.

thanks

you'll feel some loss of low end power, but then it'll pick up after 3k. when you give it the gas you'll hear a suction noise emitted from the intake, some like it, some don't. the heat shield can offer some protection from hot air passing through the radiator.

btw mine is for sale if your interested

If injen is a gimmick then so is every other intake. Please, prove there is a god and pray a mod locks this thread.

Here is the whole search, but I'm not sure if that'll work for you.

i got that...

whats up.... I just installed a injen into my 02 maxima with the K&N filter... if your looking for more over all.. i would go with injen. yes it is pricey, bought it for $280 and came with oil, cleaner and everything which is worth like $50.. Overall I am glad with the product, didnt want a loud noise all the time when im going 20mph.... injen kicks in after 3 and makes a nice nice noise.

glad i got it

$280...what are you thinking....a Berk/Frankencar works just as well for 1/2 that....a GAB and/or OSCAI works just as well for almost nothing.

lets all just admit that Injen is no better than other intakes, but that it "sure looks nice when the hood's open"......

EXACTLY!!

you know what you got for $280?

something that "looks cool" (which is up for debate)

being able to say "i have an injen cold air intake" (even though its not)

hope it was worth it
