So it started when my cel came on from a cylinder misfire...
I looked on the net and immediately decided it must be a coil pack. This would explain why my car has felt sluggish lately. I called Nissan to see if it was under warrantee and they said only the 36,000 mile one. I am over that, so I asked if they could test them all to find out wich one was bad. He said, "there wasn't a way to do that so they always just replace all of them." Quoted me about $800 dollars w/ labor. I thought no way am I going to replace them all and pay that kind of money. I'll fix it myself. I decided to go the easy route and change the plugs to see if that made a difference. Got to my last plug after taking the manifold off and found it to be completely covered in oil. Which means my 2 year old car has a badly leaking valve cover gasket. So long story short, I am changing both valve cover gaskets tomorrow (don't want to go through this again) and replacing one coil pack. I've had four Nissans and never had anything like this happen before. Hopefully the Max will be running top notch as I have some ego's to bruise.
