will this be the same???

i have not done this, but it was a crossing thought. i know the maxima recommends 92+ octane gasoline or sumpreme to help its performance. would it be the same if you fill your tank up with regular and add in octane boost??? sorry if this has been posted before. i can not seem to find anything on it though.

No. Octane boosters in a can/bottle etc do only marginal increase.

Besides you will spend more on "boosters" than on gas.

yeah, the price difference is too great. You will spend almost $8 on a decent octane boost (NOS offroad formula is the only one I use at $9.99 a bottle).

I heard somewhere that the boost is not 1 octane but .1 octane; anyhow its a waste.
