I know this is about audio but...

I'm keeping my stock HU (no RCA outputs) so I need to tap my rear speaker sigals both L and R somehow. (ON MY 2000 MAX)

I tried pulling my door panel off but that come out too well. Also, I want to keep the wiring inside the car. I tried pulling the seatbelt pillars off but that was really hard and I don't want to break anything.

SOMEBODY PLEASE!! Help me get those signals.

Thanks

you can get a hi-low converter from any stereo shop to tap into the signals from the head unit. Most people say that you won't get a clean signal which is somewhat true, but I have an entire system consisting of components, two amps, and a sub, using the stock head unit and it is extremely clear. I'm not saying that it can't be better, probably with an aftermarket deck it would definately be. I hope this helps. Tapping into the speakers for a signal, I am not sure if it would be as clean as a hi-lo converter. I got the converter off of Sound-domain. It was a PACs brand converter.

Don't use a high-low converter, they are crap as far as sound quality goes. Use a PAC Bose adaptor. It is a harness with a box that takes the balanced line level output from the Bose deck and converts them to an RCA signal.

I have these in stock, PM me if you want one.

take out your "ashtray" there's a phillips screw in there, take that out. pop off the trim around the shifter, it just pops right off. take out the plugs. pull out the air condition vent on the top of the radio. its hard, but pull really hard. then it will reveal the screws.
