The stock gasket is made for a 2.25" pipe so you'd have to cut out a little bit so that it doesn't restrict any flow. I'm pretty sure the ID of the gasket was smaller than that of my Cattman y-pipe when I compared the 2.

when installing the headers did you guys end up using the o2 simulator? or did you simply extend the 02 sensor to fit? if you did, i read it was in the way of the ac comppressor line. am i correct?

The sensor thats in the way of the compressor is a primary that cannot be simulated. I moved that sensor to the front manifold collector (do not have to extended the wire on an 00-01), the rear stays in place, then I simulated the two secondary o2 sensors.

So there are four sensors in all, two primary and two secondary.

You can only simulate the secondary sensors.

Edit: you are a Cali spec car?

I thought some EARLY ones are fed spec, best way to tell is to look at the front of your motor and look at how many o2 sensor harnesses you have...

If you have four, you are a Cali spec.

I thought that they did not start making them all Cali till 02+.

According to the 2001 FSM and the information found in the following TSB, it is pretty much implied that all 2001s are CALI spec.

Regardless, people need to learn how to pop the hood and do some looking around on their own before posting questions.
