Anyone got good pics of their custom stereo install?
I'm starting to plan "my perfect custom stereo install". I'm kinda anal about how I want things so I'm looking for ideas from anyone that has some pic's of their install so I can get some ideas of what to do and what not to do.
So far, I've decided on an Alpine CD deck, Q-logic kick panels with MB Quart speakers, stock rear speakers, Crossfire Amp(s), and either 2 12s or 1 15 sub (not sure what brand).
Besides figuring out what brands I don't know I want, I'm really looking for install pics so I can see how I want the sub and amps installed.
Any help would be much appreciated.
BTW, Studman, I liked your website, you got some great pics. Thanks!

man, MB Quart in front and STOCK rears??? Are they at least BOSE? Still, why would you do something like that to your car? Get something better for rear...
and also, How do you guys run your power cables??? Any pics?

I really don't care about the rear speakers. I don't sit in the rear. Besides, for the best staging and imaging, I would have the rear speakers turned down so that I could bearly hear them. If I had like Dolby Digital 5.1 or THX or something, then the rear speakers would matter.

Thanks Kloogys. Your setup is pretty clean. Any reason why you decided to dynamat the trunk? Have you heard that it needs to be done so that the trunk doesn't rattle or something? Did you do an SPL test? I'm looking for something like 135-140db.

First off dont waste your money on a system and not set it up properly. I do not recommend a Crossfire amp eventually your going to regret you didnt spend a couple more bucks on something better. Second MB's wont give you the sound you want inside I highly recommend Diamond Audio it alittle expensive but when you get it in you understand why. Also, you might as well do both front and back bc you stocks are going to through it off. Either 2 12's or 1 15 will give you similiar results but if you want pounding go for a 15. Last but not least DYNAMAT is a must unless you wanna hear a constant sound like the trunk is about to pop off. Good luck!

Which Alpine deck? I just had the Alpine CDA-9813 and it was a piece of sh!t. There is a problem with many of the alpines and the nonfading preouts, although advertised at 4V, the highest we were able to get them was 1.7V
I now have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X869 and it is much better...
Pics are on my homepage but don't pay any attention to the deck...

Why that little?I have 0ne 15' pioneer and hit a 142 , so with 2 12's and the right amp you could be in the upper 140's or lower 150's

I'm just not into that slammin sounds anymore. 150db's is just way too loud for me. 140db is plenty nough for me.... i think.
