It never pays to cut corners by saving money on things. I should have bought the Stillen RSB as the Progress RSB trailing arm brackets are grinding a hole in the brake lines.


BTW, where is the best place to buy steel braided lines?

when I did my install.

I've had my Progress bar on for 9 months now with no problems. The two metal saddles are rounded off a bit to prevent bad rubbing issues too. Is that what you're having problems with?

I wondered if this might happen, and have kept an eye on the lines that run over the brackets. They DID rub through the electrical tape I put on there as a buffer, so I put on some urethane tubing (clear hose) around each line. End of problem (and at something like $0.20 a foot, it's still cheaper than Stillen...).

how did u get the tube on there??/ did u just cut one side and put it over??? please let me know i wonder if this is a big problem on everyones car

Yep - I didn't even tape it and it hasn't moved.

just checked mine and it looks fine had it about 6 months now no signs of any ware

slice the tube and slid it on, to hold it in place get 2-4 small zip ties and secure it with them.

Ok I'm going to do the hose mod to protect it before the steel braids come in.
