Samsung Maxima?!

A friend of mine just got back from S.Korea and he told me that Samsung bought the rights to build Maximas from Renault and rebadge them as Samsung cars!

Check this site I found...sort of looks like a 4th Gen Maxima

I had heard about Samsung getting into the car market awhile ago... but this is interesting. On that note, I did some digging and came across this:
http://www.motioncars.com/archive/co...5/content3.htm

Maximas were based on the Cefiro mentioned...

More interesting stuff:
http://www.renaultsamsungm.com (there is some stuff in English in the About RSM section)
http://sm5.renaultsamsungm.com/ (this car does look sorta like a 4th gen Max)

i'm not sure that that's news. korea's got a grip of samsung badged 4th gens all over the country. they're one of the predominant models used as taxis as well.

it's been there for a while now. ask the 4th gen guys who for some reason want the taillights from the samsungs.

Freaky, they have a 2.0L DOHC V6 and a 2.5L DOHC V6. As a matter of fact, that 2.5L is actually a pretty strong engine.

Too bad I can't read Korean...

Re: Re: Re: Samsung Maxima?!

There are quite a few of them in S. Korea. I saw them everywhere when I went 2 years ago. Not too bad.

Also, Samsung makes EVERYTHING in Korea. They are not just a electronics company. They specialize in just about everything needed for human exsistence.

Also, why the hell won't my posts show up?
