suspension chatter???

Just recently maybe a month or 2 ago I have been hearing excessive noise "chatter" from the front end of the car when going over big or even slight bumps, could it be faulty suspension? I use to hear it once in a while but now its ALL the time, kinda sounds like small rubber ***** in a plastic bucket. drives me crazy....please any feedback will help

I had the same thing. I got under the car and checked everything I could and found out it was the control arm end links. In my case it was the left side. Gotr a new one from Courtesy and problem solved.

I think the part was about $30 with the org discount and I installed it myself. This is a real easy job to do yourself.

So could this be the only solution to the rattling noise or do you think there could be any other part that can casue this. Also did you guys also experience a very loose feeling ride?

I too have this problem and I live in Germany with my Canadian 2k SE Maxima and don't want to take my car to a Nissan dealer until I have a really good idea of what the problem is. Labour is very expensive here. I find its the small bumbs where I really here the rattling and its beginning to drive me nuts. Would I be correct in saying that a brand new Maxima doesn't do this?

The 2k max has a TSB for that problem. If you search for TSB # NTB00030A, that should help you out.

Oh that, its something with the passenger side mount or something near it. All it requires is a few washers and the noise will be gone. Im not 100% sure exactly what it was though, its been a while since ive even thought about looking into it.

I have same crappy sounds from my car. I kinda got to live with it, cause dealer can't find anything wrong or loose there. It was making same sounds before I installed H&Rs, I just think it is crappy Maxima's suspension.
