How much is dealer going to charge to replace O2 sensor?

I got a reading at Auto Zone and it came back with P0135 O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1.

I did a search here and thanks to mdeal I found it is the Front heated oxygen sensor heater.

Since I know what it is and just need a new one installed, any ideas on a ballpark figure to install it?

The AutoZone guy said that sensor being bad won't hurt the engine, just hurt my gas mileage...which I've noticed big time! I used to turn 27 mpg, I'm lucky to eek out 23-24 now...

Do it yourself!. One connector, 3 clips, unscrew the O2 sensor, and you are half way there. =)

Is it really that easy to replace? I don't have to worry about messing up the ECm or anything like that?

Where exactly is it loacated?

If thats the case I'll give it a shot.

I'm pretty good at changing light bulbs and air filters etc.....is it that much beyond me?

Yes, assuming that you can get to it(jack up the car/put it on stands), the o2 sensor is exactly like a spark plug. It just screws into the exhaust pipe. The end of the sensor has a wire lead on it that has some sort of a wire harness that will clip to the main harness.

My 93 has one o2 sensor...not sure if its a "heated" one...but I doubt it. I bought it from foriegncarparts.com for 69 bucks shipped with UPS 2 day air. The dealer charged me 13 bucks to put it in. I was having a full atf flush and Mobil 1 change done at the same time, so that may have lowered the price of the install, but its literaly takes less than 5 mins to do.
