no. the company does not have an official website.
they don't even take orders for small quantity either but he's doing me a favor.

the underside of the hood looks alot clear than the VIS counter-part because it IS CLEANER than the VIS.

i'll have price for the hood by early next week.

Hey Irv, is this going to be a one-time groupbuy? Or will I be able to purchase this hood in lets say mid-January?

Another question, will we have to use hood pins on these hoods?

Thanks for hooking this up! When Kevin posted those pics of the flaw in the VIS hood it immediately changed my mind about buying the VIS CF hood.

Now that's a carbon fiber hood. I was going to wait for fiber images but seems they ain't making one. So I will save some pennies for this one.

the prototype hood will be finished by early-mid december and i'll be taking orders once the hood is on my car.
i'm planning on setting up a group buy for the hood but i do not have a final price on these yet. expect the price around the same range as VIS hood. you can place an order for the hood thru me any time.

there will be only a OEM replacement CF hood and not the 'Invader' style hoods with scoops.

as far as the hood pins go..well, the pins are there as a safety measure. i've seen some cases where people had a CF hood on without the pins and the hood actually flew open even in low speeds. the hood pins will eliminate that safety hazard.

*another note: for those who are interested in Carbon Kevlar hood, that will be also available once the molding is done. the hood will be available in blue, red and yellow Kevlar. my guess is that if you have a majestic blue maxima, the blue Kevlar hood will look really nice. Kevlar hoods will cost about $120 more than a regular CF hood.

there is a potential for the 4th gen hoods. but i'll need to prove the demand by making some sales on the 5th gen hood. he says as long as there is a strong demand out there, he'll make the hoods.

so i guess it's time for you guys to write some letters, eh?

hey, post info in KBD and we'll call/write. I got a 4th and 3rd gen (and of course, a 5th gen) sitting in my driveway, not doing much. I wouldn't mind donating them for prototyping.

btw, are you gonna paint your hood?

1. the shop wants to test the market with the 5th gen hoods(they're already using my hood for this), the hood will be available by mid-late December. they won't do any other Maxima hoods until they see the sales with this one first.

2. no

I am 100% in if there aren't any fittment issues. I have about $300 damage from hail on stocker so this would be a better trade-off than dent wizard. If pricing is under or around $500 shipped put me on the list for after christmas. Matt
