Any 5Gers heading to Etown for Racewars on Sat. Sept. 7?
I'm heading down to Englishtown tomorrow for the Import vs Domestic street wars event, anybody else going? (just curious) I'm hoping to see some Maximas and Altimas represent out there.
From Raceway Park website (www.etownraceway.com):
STREET WARS COMES TO RACEWAY PARK
Coming this Saturday, September 7th, Old Bridge Township Raceway Park presents the First Annual Street Wars. Since the rise of the import racer as a force in the world of street racing, domestic racers have been challenging them to high-speed duals. This weekend we invite everyone to get off the streets and settle the battle once and for all. Raceway Park, long known as the east coast leader in drag racing innovation, encourages racers to see the many benefits of getting away from street racing and taking to the track. This Saturday racers can maximize their performance on our well-groomed quarter mile and utilize our top of the line timing equipment for testing, tuning, and to take part in close competition. This all-new event features four racing classes, so there is guaranteed to be a place for every street car to run. There will be three bracket eliminators as well as a no-time, heads up class for the heavy-hitters who want to keep their numbers a secret. They'll be able to pair up with whoever they want, so expect some high-dollar grudge races. The rules for the event are simple: Each vehicle must be fully muffled, DOT approved tires and appear to be a street vehicle. All NHRA safety rules apply and as always, helmets are required on all racers. The gates are scheduled to open at 1pm, with eliminations kicking-off at 7pm for this one of a kind event. Both import and domestic racers won't want to miss it.
