00VI power rod block off plate

Ok so I removed the power rod on my dek and made a blockoff plate for a cleaner look. Figured I'd offer to make another if anybody else wanted one. It's made of out 1/4inch thick aluminum and will come with new bolts and washers to replace the oem screws. Also this will allow those using a pftb to retain cruise control.

Price would be 35shipped

So you would remove the swirl valves and put that plate on? Any better acceleration?

Looks interesting... This might be off topic a bit, but how can I tell/test my VI to see if it's working or not? I'm thinking about buying a blockoff plate if it doesn't hurt my midrange too much. I do alot of stop and go commuting in heavy traffic. Do you have any before and after dyno results by any chance?

Somewhat interested...my power valve is deleted but the power rod is still in there. Would it make a difference removing the power rod completely?

I was boosted and never used this n/a. I would suggest removing the power rod and driving the car to see how you like it.

yes, you'll have more topend with the rod gone almost like when 3.5 guys remove the vias

Pulled the power rod yesterday. Definitely felt more topend. Also acceleration is much smoother throughout.

About the plate, are there similar grooves like the vias box or is it a flat plate?

it's just a flat plate the groves needed since it's blocking everything off

I had this on my turbo, dek swapped 4gen. This works better with boost or an extended rev limiter than a bone stock car
