Custom Ground Kit (New Pics!)

One last kit in clear silver only!!
As most know lately I have been having problems getting kits shipped out in a timely manner. This was the result of two issues: 1. My local supplier jacked prices up significantly forcing me to buy wire off of the Internet and it was not coming in as fast as I would have liked it to. and 2. The odd number of terminals used in my kit sometimes made it hard to keep the "Just In Time" stocking plan that I successfully implemented when I was selling these kits very rapidly. I have solved the first part by finding a guy in South Tampa who sells stinger HPM at a acceptable rate and I solved the second by removing the negative alternator to chassis ground thereby changing the required terminals from 12 to 10 and allowing me maintain a 10 kits to a 100 pack of terminals ratio. The alternator ground had a minimal effect on performance and was actually an option at one point for those who wanted the little extra voltage stabilization. The only reason I added it as a permanent part of the kit was to make things easier for myself at that time.

These changes will allow me to return to the level of reliability I once provided to those who chose my product. If anyone is interested you can P.M me for details or if you want to just get to the do my Paypal is shinjiduo@msn.com just send the proper amount and tell me the gen, transmission, and color in the message box. Please make it a point to put that in the message box so that I have a record order to tie with the address I am sending the kit to. Information on the type of wire and materials I use are listed below the prices. The prices are listed directly below(All prices include shipping within the U.S. / Canada add 10 dollars U.S.):

Wow I wasn't expecting so much of a turn out so fast for the kit. I am going to be a little busy for a couple of days so for the record nlmaxima contacted me first so I am going to make sure to give him first crack at anything. As for the benefit of the kit. For auto transmissions you will notice that the car is no longer resistant to downshifting. This means that the car is more responsive when punch on the gas as the tranny will respond quicker. Also when you slow down to a slow roll the car will downshift appropriately instead of staying in high gear and quickly shifting down. The shifts are also smoother and in general more "precise" feeling. Idle and high speed rev are smoother and I noticed that the powerband actually smoothed out a bit as well whereas before the kit it would seem the car was gasping post 5000 rpm it pulls a bit harder at rpm now (not a earth shattering difference but a mildly noticeable one). The car starts a little faster and stronger. The auxiliary electrical equipment like power windows, power seats move faster and lights all around are a bit brighter especially the headlights. I'm probably forgetting something if I remember I'll post it.

Bump More Pics. I might have some one to purchase all the ones that I made but I might be willing to make 15 kits for 4th Gens and 5th Gens and maybe 5.5 Gens based on the feedback I get from the 1st person. I will start another thread once I get my stuff to together to gauge interest and get a list going so that I can order to appropriate supplies. That should be no longer than a week

Unlike the active tuning ground kit that is optimized for the ground points and positions on a 4th gen this one includes resized wires and points that are more efficient on a 5th Gen. This kit is made with all of the sames materials and methods used by active tuning. Double crimped gold plated connectors, Stinger HPM series 4AWG 1666 strand count cable and tightly wrapped and protected ends. I essentially bought way too much wire and terminals and am looking to get rid of the excess. The kit come in clear carbon black (stinger officially calls grey). I am looking for 25 shipped which is 1/2 the price of active tuning and is cheaper than it would take to make the kit your self. A crimper alone runs at least 35 dollars. I will have some pics up in the coming days. I will also craft some instructions while I am at it.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Gen kit. The 5th Gen kit comes with:

1 Throttle body to firewall ground
1 Battery to chassis Ground
1 Engine Block to chassis Ground
1 Starter to chassis Ground
1 Timing Chain Cover to chassis
1 Negative Alternator Ground to chassis

4th Gen Kit comes with

1 Air Intake to Firewall Ground
1 Battery to chassis Ground
1 Timing Chain Cover to Chassis Ground
1 Engine Block to chassis Ground

All wires are HPM 4AWG stinger Grey except for the alternator to chassis. That is SAE grade heavy duty 0AWG low strand count wire.

Here are some pics of the kit:

Alternator negative to ground the wire is covered and wrapped not the silver wire.

Negative battery terminal to chassis. By left headlight.

Negative terminal side (will supply nut to fasten connector.)

hey are you coming to he meet on the 16th i want to see the ground kit
i just did one myself from home depot with 4 gauge amp wire too
i don't car what anyone says, the ground kit makes your idle so much better.
did the alternator ground help out????

The alternator ground helped a little. But to be honest with you I really noticed more because of the voltage monitor on the battery than for actual performance.

The car starts a little faster and stronger. The auxiliary electrical equipment like power windows, power seats move faster and lights all around are a bit brighter especially the headlights. Some people say it helps with mileage and many manufacturers of the kit say it ups horsepower . But basically what it does is reduce power spikes so that your cars various computers can operate more efficiently hence, allowing your vehicle to operate more like new is some ways and even better than new in others. The stock grounding system was designed to be cost cutting, light (for gas mileage) and to deteriorate over the years in order to "convince" people they "need" new cars this kit just curbs that normal curve of deterioration.

i just installed mine on Saturday and the kit is well worth it. The quality is great. My first impression was it actually shifts better and the car response way better. My battery gauge usually reads at 13. something however after i installed the kit it was reading at 14.3 . I highly recommend this kit for your car. Oh yea great seller and a nice guy.

I just installed my ground kit today

Couldn't get the alternator line to fit, must be my girlish strength lol. I have an extra 10ft of 0/1 AWG and wondered if I could cut and use that for my alt to chassis?

I am over all REALLY happppyyy First thing I noticed that my idle is smoother, the car doesn't vibrate like it used to once it warmed up after the preliminary 5 minutes.

The only thing I would add are a few more bolts. Ended up needing 2 more for the firewall, and timing chain cover to chassis.

OH and one more thing....
My auto-magic shifts like BUTTER now! No more late shifts

So anyone who is looking for a kit, this is the guy to talk to!
