5th gen adjustable traction bars for sale.
I'm selling sets of 5th gen adjustable traction bars. These tractions bars connect the lower control arm to the lower radiator support to improve stability, greatly improve traction, and eliminate wheel hop. These bars are fully adjustable and are easily installed. Each end of the bars are equipped with pivoting heim joints. The traction bars are available in black, red and blue powder coat finish.
$200 plus shipping and handling
I decided to start a group buy list. If I get 10 or more confirmed orders by January 7th 2008, the shipping and handling cost will be dropped. If I don't get 10 confirmed orders by then then the price will still be $220 including shipping and handling.

I wonder how these fit with wider wheels, tires, and lowering...especially turning the wheel to full lock...
irish, how do you see these helping on the autocross course...? I'm curious to see your take on this mod for racing...

I had talked to others at Maxus this last year about possibly making some of these, but haven't had the time to get around to it. Is there some way that you could make a better mount for them besides the lower radiator support? Such as a bar that bolts on where the factory front tow hooks are? Thats more of what I had in mind.
Kudos for getting it done!

It is most effective in drag racing but is also effective at all times. The picture is when the wheel is fully turned so the gap between the traction bar and tire will NEVER get closer than shown. As long as there is a gap at full lock, the tire will never hit the traction bar.

Do the traction bars affect the ride quality in normal street use? I had ladder bars on a Chevelle I used to have and while they did a great job stopping severe wheel hop, I could practically feel paint stripes when I changed lanes.

don't know if this is a dumb ?, but is there any possible way the bars can come unlocked? Like from hittin a big bump or pothole and commin unlocked and moving n possibly rub or hit the tire while driving? just courious thanx.
