Totalled my Max
After several years of keeping up with things here, and a decent list of mods, it appears that my Maxima days are over. I've been told by the body shop that the damage exceeds the car's value, even with used parts. I haven't discussed my options with the insurance adjuster, but I've already set my sights on an '07 G35. I refuse to give the local Nissan dealers my business, simply because of their awful service departments.
I expect to have a list of items for sale, including a full Cattman exhaust (Gen 2 headers, high-flow cat, and cat-back), 2 sets of wheels and tires, and anything else I can remove without any real difficulty.
Anyone interested in parts should let me know - I'm in the Morristown area of North Jersey.

I don't think 2000 (3.0L) headers will work on a 2003 (3.5L). Could be wrong.

Update on Totalled Max - Part 1
I just drove the car back from the body shop - I have to wait for a salvage value before I decide to part out the car, as they won't give me full value if I start stripping out parts. I should know by Monday afternoon for sure. The car is a 2000 Cali spec 5-speed, in Sterling Mist, with cloth seats, and about 84,000 miles.
Here is a list of parts that will likely be available (I have everyone's PM's, and dibs will be honored to the extent possible.) I plan on stripping and dumping the car in the next 2 weeks, so there will be no waiting around for people to gather up the cash. My wife will hang me if this carcass sits in my driveway any longer than that.
Once I do start pulling parts, I will not be removing anything that the car needs to actually roll, like struts/springs, etc. Those items are 4 years old anyway, and at least 1 shock is shot. Frankly, for what they're worth, it's not worth the effort to remove them. The stereo I'm still undecided about selling - my son got dibs on that about 3 minutes after he saw the car.
Unless the salvage value is ridiculously high, the following parts will be coming off, but I have yet to even think about pricing. I'll keep everyone posted.
The following items were installed by Jeff at Maximum Tuning on 11/14/05.
---Headers (Cattman Gen 2)
---High-flow cat (not sure of brand, was sold by Cattman)
---Cat-back (Cattman)
Other on-car mods and other non-OEM parts:
---Berk intake (installed this past spring - Apexi is shot, as you can see in the pics)
---MAF (part number TBD, but installed new with the Berk)
---BOMZ FSTB (3 years old)
---Ignition coils (newly installed in 2004 - all grey-dot replacements)
---Clear sides, front and rear, with LED bulbs in rear.
---Rear tails (I no longer have the smoked tails - they're the clear tails off of an '03)
Off-car parts:
---OEM airbox (removed for the Frankencar 4 years ago)
---EGR Valve (brand new, never got around to replacing it)
---Ignition coils (one each front and rear, brand new OEM grey-dot)
---SSR GT1 18" Wheels, 3 perfect, 1 slightly bent (but usable and repairable), with Yokohama ES100's (under 5,000 miles on the rubber).
---350Z Wheels with brand new Toyo TI-R's (235/40-18). The wheels are about a year and a half old, and fairly scuffed up, but none of them are bent, and they're a great wheel for the NY/NJ area. I've popped 3 tires in the last year on potholes without bending a single wheel.
---I'll consider selling wheels and tires separately, as well.
Pricing and availability on all of these and any other requests (dash parts, wheelwell liners, etc) will come down to how much of my time and effort will be required to remove and ship the parts. Items like the exhaust parts are not a good candidate for shipping, so a local buyer who's willing to pick them up is going to have an advantage, dibs notwithstanding.
Keep an eye out here for more info in the next few days.

Update on totalled Max - Part 2
The accident occurred last Wednesday night, in the misty rain we had, and just after dusk on a poorly lit street. I took my eye off the road to look for my phone and keys (I was 4 blocks from home, and running late), then caught some movement out of the corner of my eye. When I looked up, I saw a deer coming across the yard to my left, and a Toyota Corolla at a dead stop. The driver had stopped to let Bambi cross the street, and by the time I hit the brakes I was 15 feet behind her, doing at least 30. Needless to say, I had no chance of stopping in time.
As you can see, all of the damage was inflicted by her bumper, which mine dove underneath. Because my bumper never took an impact, the airbags didn't go off, either. It was a fitting end to what had been a miserable day.
I'm going to miss the car. It's been good to me, and an enormous amount of fun to drive.

I'm sure you'll love the G even more.
I can withdraw my 1st dibs on the cattman cat-back if you'd rather do business locally.
