Okay, i shaved my a$$ today. The paint underneath seems to be the same color, but there is one little problem. I can still see the faint outline of the letters. I picked all that I could and waxed the area like 3 times and still there is a faint outline. Is this usual? Will it go away eventually, as the sun hits it, or am I stuck with it the way it is?

Try using some alcohol to get it off. There will be a very faint out line for a while till the newly exposed paint fades a little.

I promise, you are the only one who will notice.

Seriously. I saw the same shaved car daily and never noticed that there was one tiny place wrong where he could still see his symbol on a honda. It went away in like 10 days but I never noticed it once until he actually pointed it out.

Kind of like the clear tails. 98% of the people who see them would never notice those tiny cracks some people get in theres unless either they know what they are looking for or they have it shown to them.

I did mine a few days ago also, and I had the same problem. I am going to try using some alcohol like they said, and then I'm sure most of it well come off eventually.

just use a little alcohol or goo-gone, goof-off, etc.

then even if it isn't completely off, just wax it, and after a few washes, you won't even see it at all

so just don't freak out, give it time

me and "190hpkilla" shaved my nissan emblem a few days ago when we got together with NYC GXE to clear do red/clear tails on his new max. I just took the Nissan Hamburger off for now, it does look so much better I have a Superblack max, meaning everything is visible on the paint, but i used some goo-gone stuff and after polishing it with that for a 10 minutes, and a coat of wax, i can't see any signs of anything ever being there. 190hpkilla took it to get it buffed at a shop. Came out perfect, no signs of anything.

How did you guys take the emblems off. i read somewhere that says to use fishing line to take the bastards off. i tried that but it didnt work. i couldnt get them off. I'm only taking off the hamburger for now to see how it looks.

Fishing line works good. Just make sure the weather is warm when doing it. If the glue is soft, it's easier to take off.

Use a blow dryer, some waxed fishing line and some patients by s l o w l y pulling it away from your car. The MAXIMA symbols are connected, so careful not to break them.
