A/C relay plug (female side)

Hey Guys, been years since I've posted here, but fixing all the quicks my car needs. 1999 Maxima (turbo, woot). As the title states, the A/C does not kick in when the A/C button or Defrost is utilized. I noticed in the relay box (specifically for the A/C), there are 4 wires, however, the black one with a red thin line appears to be severed in the harness. Luckily, it's right by the alternator, however, I can't find the other wire (Had a major accident a long time ago, but this wire is not related to that, just FYI). I know the relay itself is good, rule that out. No blown fuses either. Does anybody know if there is the alternative wire I could use (I'm assuming it's a ground to bridge the connection), or what kind of fix should I be looking for? I have owned the car 14 years, so trust me, I know what I'm looking at lol Thanks guys.

Seems that you could just attach it so the engine block or the car body somewhere if it really is just a ground.

Also seems that grounding that wireally could cause harm if that wire does something else.

I'm not familiar with this issue.

Juse thinking out loud.
