so, i unplugged the maf and the max died.....

i also still have the pesky p0443 code which i'm thinking is the reason it did. i plugged it back in and the max ran fine, and then i read this "If the car dies when you disconnect the mass airflow sensor, then that means it was working right and that your computer has issues. It isn’t able to use the tables programmed in it to guess the amount of fuel needed. Also, if the computer isn’t the issue, then it means one of the other sensors is probably off if the car isn’t able to keep running without the mass airflow sensor because the sensor was helping the car compensate for the other issues that it was having. So as you can see disconnecting the mass airflow sensor is actually a good way to test a variety of things. " do you guys think that either the filtration box0 or the evap solenoid could be causing the issue, or is the maf just not throwing a code? craig sent me that maf about a year ago when i was having a ton of other issues and he tested it and it was fine when i put it on. ideas, thoughts please, thanks

P0443 is your purge control solenoid. It's the green solenoid valve right next to the brown solenoid valve. When mine was throwing the P0443, my Maxima was shooting out white smoke and the rpm would slowly drop when I changed into drive or reverse.

Here is a photo I made for my self of the solenoid valve. My car was a 97 Cali emissions car. Maybe it will be of some help.

Check to see if RockAuto has an Intermotor. I think I replaced some of those valves with Intermotor. It won't be cheap, but maybe a lower price than OEM.

this the one your talking about?
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...d+/+motor,4380
also, i had a problem with 2 intermotor iacv's and ended up going with a used oem because they both kept throwing a code. is this going to give any problems like the iacv? do i have to go oem on this? remember, i have a 95, production date 12/94. some parts have to be oem or they just dont work.
