Rounded out egr valve bolt
I just did a intake cleaning last week, mainly for the egr valve, and everything was going smooth until I got to the first lower bolt. I hacked the extra length of the nut, sprayed some pentrating oil on it over night woke up and sprayed a little more before I took it off and ended up rounding out the nut. It's such a small area so work in, I tried to get a pair of vice grips to loosen it but it's just impossible given the space provided. Anyone got any ideas of how to remove it without making this a big job? I'm usually very good at finding ways to get these **** bolts taken off

I used a 6 sided wrench, both ends (open and closed) would skip over each side of the bolt and it eventually rounded out. I think the bolt is just really old and it looks like the hood may have been left open during some snow or rain from the previous owner and alot of bolts have this problem in my engine.

On the bright side I was able to get the sensor out and stick some pipe cleaners through that end. Cleared my P0400 and P0325 codes and so far haven't come back, they usually do after 15 miles and ivery drivend about 65. I may have rid them for my emissions test but would still like to clean this off. My egr on my auto max was suprisingly in good shape but I'm sure this one is filthy clogged still
