Spongy brakes

At some point recently I've developed spongy brakes. (My wife has been driving the Max lately.) Every 6 or 8 times, the pedal will sink almost to the floor, then pumps back up. I haven't done anything on the brake system recently, and the pads are all fine. I regreased the slide pins (on the fronts, anyway) a week ago. I just bled all four wheels, and the problem is still there.

I don't see any leaks at the wheels. I haven't been losing fluid at all, and when I'm stopped with my foot on the brake the pedal stays firm, which has always been my test for a bad master cylinder. But I'm not sure what else it could be if it's not the master cylinder.

Any suggestions?

Check the master cylinder for leaks, than bleed the calipers I am sure they were not bleed right or bleed enough.the master cylinder brake hose are secure not broken or loose. The vacuum brake hose.

Master cylinder. If there is no leaks, there is no place for the fluid to go, but around the plunger in the master.
