Misfire but no code

Misfire but no code
I have a 99 maxima with 124,000 miles on it. I have a misfire but no code. I had changed the plugs about 3 months ago but it has gotten worse. The fuel economy has gone way down. I have heard many people say ignition coil. But I should have a code. HELP. I am going crazy. I have found a 6 pack of new coils on Amazon for 82 dollars. But wonder if it is worth a try. Any ideas?

you can check each cylinder to see if its coming from a certain one by unplugging one coil at a time while the car is running. if the idle/miss does not change for a certain cylinder then your problem is most likely there. nissan coils are a must, some people say hashings are good too just dont use aftermarket ones. also check for vacuum leaks using carb cleaner (be careful its very flamable) and make sure all connections on sensors/harnesses are good. that's a few things that you can easily do yourself for free.
