If you don't post the resolution in the original thread, it's of no use. http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...-start-bs.html

FWIW, you didn't even have to go through all that work. A 50 cent cable from the tranny to the battery ground would have done the trick.

no i actually ran 3 wires to the transmission to try and fix it and nothing one to the starter bolt one next to my crank sensor and one on the back side didnt do nothing...so needless to say 50 cents wouldnt have fixed my issue wish it would have but its all good now....i can get back to my 3.5 build in my garage i knew it was a ground issue due to how it was acting and stuff just never really had time to do it with work kids wife and everything

Well, the 50 cent trick worked on two of my buddies maximas...Both of them had tranny work about a month before the starting problem reared its ugly head. I wonder if there is a 'correct' tranny grounding point now? hmmmmm....I'll ask my buddy tonight.

yea i wish it had of lol woulda saved me 4 hours of work lol but its all good i tried everything for grounding even grounding the black wire on the crank sensor the one thats on the tranny and nothing acted like it wanted to but nothing but an hour on a wire wheel was worth it now no worries
