Hanging Aftermarket Muffler Help
For those of you who have used an aftermarket muffler without the "factory" rods attached to it to hang via the stock rubber points, how did you do this? Pics would be helpfull too if possible.
This is what I am using now but it is not strong enough because I could not put it straight up and down...I had to mount it horizontally from the muffler to one of the bolts that holds the muffler heat shield. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/wcs...3_pri_thmb.jpg
It's a stainless muffler so welding rods to it to hook into the rubber mounts is not an option.

Just to be clear, it is stainless with some type of chrome outer layer. I was told they can't weld it. Maybe it takes a certain type of welder?
Below is a link to the muffler I have.
EDIT: And if I can weld to this, will someone be able to weld a steel rod to the muffler or will the rod need to be a certain type of metal as well?
Got some scrap rods tonight. Gonna see if I can get a buddy to weld the rods to the pipes instead of the muffler.
