My tranny was a rebuilt, and its starting to act funny again. I might as well get a tested tranny from the junkyard, but there is only 5th gens in the yard.
will the VQ35DE or VQ30DE-K auto tranny fit on a VQ30DE?
will it be a bolt on?
thankyou.

The transmissions are the same size, same axles and bell housing pattern so they physically fit. However, don't quote me here, I don't think the valve bodies are the same. You may have to do some wiring for the solenoids. Or it could be a perfect fit. Not sure.
FWIW:
My cousin just installed a 2000 auto into his 2002, there was one sensor missing. Seems to run fine otherwise.
