This car has been in our family since I was born (I'm 18) and had more than 250,000 mi on the clock at the time of the impact. With in the past three years we've given it a full restoration with a new paint job:

Even putting in the JWT Pop- Charger in only last summer:

When it was STOLEN shortly after restoration:

Back in 1997, Ma dukes on her way to work with the same car:

Basically I've grown up in every way with this car and it kind of hurts to see it go. GEICO hasn't briefed me on the appraisal of the car but I'm 99.99% sure it's a total loss. Just wanted to share this with you guys and get any advice you can offer.

OP sorry for your loss. Although, I had a similar wreck with the back end of a trailer. Dude decided to pull out with a 20' trailer and then stopped in the road. By the time I braked it was a second too late. Took out that same fender and everything. Mine was repairable. No suspension work was needed for me but looks like your wheel was kicked back a bit. They might fix it for ya. Look on that side of the car and see if the frame is bent along the fender area.

he didnt have abs... you can tell from the jwt picture.

Right, I'm looking into some surprisingly cheap, fully-loaded 5th gen SE's around here. Not leaving the Max family for a long time.

Honestly that's rebuild able if that was my max, and specially since it was in the family since I was born I would def. put it back together, it's not as bad as it looks,

If it was in the family that long, I would restore it. Makes me wonder why moms wants ABS in her 4th gen.

thats looks like frame damage to me, and, not everyone has the tools/time/place to fix a damaged max. i say for 2,000 he could get another lower mileage max and start fresh with a safe max. he was basically stock anyway. glad your ok.
