97 Max non bose, bought bose speakers
I need a little help here.
My brother recently bought a 1997 Maxima Dark green and the speakers were shot.
So, not knowing anything between the models of the Maxima, I saw the rear speaker covers had Bose on them. So I went and bought Bose speakers from a guy that was parting out a maxima.
And when I took off the front door panel, I realize they are not the same, and the car did not have the bose sound system. The covers were just placed there for looks, basically they were posers!
So my question is, my brother does not care for sound quality or looks he just want to hear the radio again. Can I use the bose speakers, (without the amp, which I'm guessing is the black box connected to the speaker)?
I see the non-bose speakers just have one connector and the bose speakers has 4 wires that is connected to the amp.
Or should I just try to find non bose replacement speakers?

Years ago when I had to replace the Bose HU I read up on the system. The Bose amp and speaker are matched and of course not the same as typical care stereo. I believe the speakers are 1 ohm and would sound terrible as well as possibly damaging the HU over time.
