Anyone on here have coilovers and drive on NYC roads? Or is the assumption that all roads are like racetracks to fully enjoy COs?

i live in trenton and have been to NYC plenty of times so i know that the roads are very similar. havent been taken care of for what looks like a hundred damn years. people around here have to avoid certain streets, routes, ect when they go that moar low

Im lowered on H&R Sports spring and Illumina's on 07 stock 18's, and i still can feel every bump in the road.

Im going to advise against the camber bolts.

Most alignment shops just read the computer for Nissan alignment specs. Nissan says you are not supposed to adjust camber. When the shop sees this they dont adjust the bolts.

I had camber bolts from Summit Racing. They kept backing off and screwing up my alignment. After the 3rd attempt i thought about it and asked the guy if he adjusted camber bolts. He didnt even notice they were there!

I promptly took off the cambers and now the car is straight as an arrow!

I have Tokico blues and they straight. I was thinking about switchin to illuminas but in terms of dampening they seem about the same. Or what setting do u have the illuminas set to? I have hrd on setting 2 its stock soft

Camber bolts aren't completely necessary, but you will wear down the insides of your tires if you lower without them. When you shorten the spring and strut assembly (as in lower the car) the tires don't just move straight up. They are going to move around an arc, with the pivot point being somewhere around the control arm. So the lower you go, the more negative camber you get and the more you start to wear the insides of your tires.

Agreed. thats why i had gotten the bolts in the first place.

The way my mechanic had initially installed the bolts. the fronts were crazy negative!

I have removed and realigned now everythin in spec. but ima keep an eye out for abnormal wear.

I do remember doing research and ppl saying that the bolts were necessity if you go 2"+ drop. Im thinking for my mild drop its fine w/o the bolts.

I have the fronts on 3 and the rears on 5. I cant even carry like 2 people in the back because it rubs when i hit a bump.

Sounds like you might have extreme wider tires or spacers......you may need to roll your fenders......or limit how many people you ride in your car....Are you a taxi??????
