Can someone help me determine which A/C compressor I need?

I have a 99 maxima with a production date of 09/98. Can anyone tell me the part or model number of the compressor that I will need? I see some compressors that say they have "Shallow Ports" and some with "Deep Ports". I'm not sure what this means exactly. I've been looking on Ebay and there are so many different ones that say they would work for 99 maxima yet they are different models so I just want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks for any help.

you've got an early 99, same as me. Get the one for the 98, it should fit just fine.

Find the FSM and verify there just to be sure.

^^^

Based on part numbers, 05/97 to 11/98 production used one compressor and switched to another model in 12/98.
