Sensen from apx review
I just recieved my order from APX and feel the need ro start a review thread in these Sensen brand shocks for A32.
Shipping and customer service from APX was phenominal. 2 days shipping time from payment to door. Even had to call and change my order and they were very friendly and easy to work with.
I odered set 1200 which is 4 new shocks with boots, bumpstops, mounts, nuts, and bearings. All that for $230 shipped.
My first impression is wow. Even with the price set aside, the quality is amazing. Powdercoated finish (grey) looks great and all the bracketry looks beefy as stock.
I will be installing these other the weekend and will update progress as it happens.
Hate all you want, but i will be testing these with Tien s-techs to see how they hold up and to test the warranty inspection. If warranty is denied, a new set is only 130 shipped and if they last 6mos to a year, im fine with that. I have my stock se springs if needed.

I might run stock springs abyway but you are missing the point of this thread. Im reviewing the shocks ans the company thay sells them. Im not asking for opinions. I just want to provide information to this site.

S-Tech = No suspension travel, bump steer etc.
Doesn't matter what you couple them with the car rides like $hit.
You can put lip stick on a pig, it's still a pig.
Couple your new components with other good components and get an improvement.
Otherwise see Revlon.

Thanks aackshun. People are just trying to justify the thousands they spend on parts. I get by on the cheap, and people dont like it. Its the same as outrunning a mustang or a camaro in a maxima..... pride is a bad thing ya know?

U shd know better than that man. If u post, we gonna comment lol.
That being sd,
I have hrd good things about sensen. I have hrd mixed reviews about stechs. Mostly, ppl get stechs for the looks NOT the ride. I can understand that.
My only issue is that Sensen doesnt state u can lower on their struts. I KNOW u can lower on anything u want, it just becomes a question of how long will it last?
I will be very interested in your review of the setup once installed, and one year later. If they last a yr, then u already got your moneys worth and Sensen is the new way to go

Had to bend the abs line bracket to make the passenger side line up. Other than that, the install went great. Took around 3 hours including beer and random guests getting in the way.
First impression is great. Only put 5 miles on them but ill give more details later. Ride is firm but no more than the e34 with gr2s and stock springs.

I put sensens on the rears after my illuminas blew after 8 years. As with any strut not recommended for lowering springs, especially s-techs they won't last too long, but it has been almost 6 months on intrax 1.5" rear and they are good. Not as great as when they were first put on but they ride good. I didn't experience any harshness in the cold weather either. For the money you can't really beat these.

I too installed Sensens shocks with OEM springs and so far so good. It is way better than my OEM suspension that was way overdue for a replacement.
Though I only regret the aftermarket strut bearings and mounts. Do you hear any noises when you turn the wheel? Thanks

Well i have around 100 miles on them now and its still good.
Rough roads feel about the same as my wifes 2010 civic.
Rough driveways are pretty harsh but not too bad.
They feel really similar to my e34's GR2s.
BOLD STATEMENT: SENSEN struts with Tein S-techs are less harsh than the G35 coupe with 350z strut/springs ( a very common upgrade).

Been relaxing a bit on how careful i am while driving to work. Even plowing through some fairly harsh dips and surface changes, the shocks are doing a really good job.Bounce is limited enough that I'm pretty sure when i notice it, it's just 2 bumps i just hit that make me think its bouce. I pay a lot of attention to the way the rear of the car acts when going down the road and it's planted now. No floating at all. I think trimming the Bumpstops by half their length was a little modest. I would maybe cut a bit more next time, but I'm still very happy with the results.
As for pics, look at any car on S-Techs. 1 finger gap in the front, 2.5ish in the back with nothing in the trunk.
Side note: OBX V2 headers when on this week. I am now driving a completely different car. 3 inch homemade catback coming soon.
