New OEM MAF for $100?

This deal just seems too good to be true. I was about to order one on ebay for $300 and then suddenly I saw this one for sale. Have any of you guys bought one from this seller before and was it really OEM?

Here is a link to the item

I've never seen a new OEM one for that cheap. Seems super suspicious honestly.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I might order it anyways just to see if its legit. If its not I'll just return it. I've tried an aftermarket one from ebay and that thing sucked. The seller actually sent me a replacement twice and all three were crap.

Did it look like an OEM one? With the sticker and all?

No it didn't have the pink sticker and the seller never claimed that it was OEM. He was actually really god about refunding my money too.

Hm.. I say go for it. Like you said, if it doesn't work or isn't OEM, you can return it.

Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.

Yeah, I already saw that. I questioned him about it and he said that he had sent the guy the wrong part on accident. I just placed the order with the guy and he assured me that if it isn't what he says it is he will refund me immediately. I'm thinking maybe the goods are hot? Who knows we will see what happens. I will keep you guys posted.

Update: I just sent a message to the guy who wrote the neutral review for this guy on Ebay.

So it turns out the guy is a fraud. I finally got a reply from the guy who wrote him the neutral review on ebay. He said that the guy is a scam artist and that he sent him a cheap aftermarket MAF sensor and tried to pass it off as OEM even though it didn't have the OEM pink label.. When I initially bought the item, it said that he had 4 MAF sensors in stock. However, after I asked him when he will be shipping my order he said that he didn't have any in stock and that I would have to wait until his supplier in Japan sends him more. Also, when I asked him if he could guarantee that the Item was OEM he said, "that is what my supplier told me." Immediately I knew there was something fishy going on. I cancelled my order and am now waiting for a refund.

yup, you got it... i was stuck figuring out the weirdest porblems with my 00vi swap for MONTHS and it turned out to be the ebay MAF. went to the junkyard a got myself one and now i'm extremely happy

fwiw the ebay maf will be good enough for a fully stock application. it did not like my vafc 2 lol i ran it before with no problems using a short ram intake... it was a bit laggy though. i'm sure if it was a stock airbox it would've been fine. mileage was still good too 500-550km/ tank and i was able to rev and everything.

When you register on eBay, you have to disclose your name. Please PLease PLease remove my name I beck you!!! I am trying to apply for a job PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE
I got ripped off myself by a supplier from overseas. I am not the author of all this!!!!
I don't manufacture, I required him to ship only original one but he didn't ship the right one to me, I promise I don't have anything to do with all this, I am innocent!!! I am only a new eBay seller, I learn from my own mistakes, i should never order that part from that supplier, that's the lesson I learn. Please I am innocent!!!

i clicked the link in the OP to check and now 'originalonly5' is selling some OEM MAF w/ pink sticker (pink sticker written a bit too many times on that add) and they're selling other 'oem' maf sensors too. lol

i remember getting a quote from the dealer for over $500 for the MAF sensor
That is an accurate quote which is why if you plan to keep the 4th gen for years, better have a spare or two handy.
