A/T Transmission straight broke casing.

its a 99 228k miles when i got it i switched it to Mobil 1 Full synthetic tranny fluid and 4k miles later i realised i was running the Mobil 1 for ford Trannys lol, well started acting up so i switched back to castrol import and it lasted another 5k miles with gears slamming in mornings and slipping alot but some times shifted perfect. well it had it lol. that day i put it in reverse it reved up like their was a heavy load on the car and was barely moving back and then BAMMMM loud is hell it hurt me! lol then it went well later that day it did same thing in drive and BAM BAMMM lol i started rolling backworce car wouldnt move at all and i just see shiiiiit loads of ATF all in my apartments by gate and talkin like 3 or 4 gears laying on ground and tons of Aluminum all cracked up on ground lol.

The Differencial came apart and broke the whole housing round the Differencial and all of its insides fell out along time 9.5 quarts of atf lol.

i will have my pix up loaded very soon its crazy ive already installed new tranny and so i have pix of it with it out the car u can clearly see where it broke i never seen a tranny brake like this lol i was sooo amased not mad at all cause i seen it commin just thoght it would start slipping more n more not brake lol.

Neutral slams tend to damage your tranny yes lol. Lucky you could find a replacement for so cheap but then again you dont know how it was treated either.

The fluid had nothing to do with your transmission failure.
A mirror might give you a clue of why it failed.
