top hat for lowering springs???

top hat for lowering springs???

so i got some lowering springs from a guy at the meet. he had the same ones in his max. anyways, i went to install them yesterday and came across a problem. the top of the new spring has a smaller diameter than stock. so what do i need to get to make up for this difference and where can i find it?

I've never heard of this problem. It seems to me like any stock style lowering spring that does not fit the maxima top hat is not designed for the correct (generation?) maxima. Can you take a picture?

lol... this could also be....you may have thembackwards... fronts in the rear and vice versa?? orrr like chris stated.. those coil over sleeve type....orrr wrong year fitment....who did you buy them from if you dont mind me asking??

i bought them from a maxima guy 30 minutes from me. i see him every week at the meet. but if needed, ill take a direct pic with my camera. also, im picking up spare pieces from the junkyard tomorrow to give you guys an idea.

well, the larger diameter on the spring matches up perfect with bottom of strut.
