Could timing be a factor of stalling?

Alright so basically a while back I had posted about my 97 max which was stalling. I sold it to my buddy and it's still stalling.

Literally almost everything has been attended to. New camshaft position sensors, crank, 02 sensors, plugs, IACV, knock sensor, etc. Even the transmission has been replaced.

But I've heard stories of Maximas stalling due to timing issues.

I was wondering what exactly these "timing issues" could be and the best way to approach them.

And the stalling condition is when you come to a complete stop. Can be avoided by shifting into neutral.

Thanks alot guys

my car started stalling and later got worse and worse till it sputtered and turned of then started right up and back fired and off again. after changing and checking most of the stuff you did. pulled the timing chain cover off to find the car jumped timinga few links. mine may have been caused by my water pump instalation a few weeks before this all happedned but none the less i would check it. itll only cost you an oil change and some wrench time to figure it out.
