Hood won't stay up

This can be annoying as the hood can't seem to stay in open position.

What adjustments can I do?

Also has anyone experienced when you lift the hood, little plastic like pellets or beeds fall from the hood, assuming from the insulation.

In the morning when I wake up, I go into the kitchen to make coffee. My cats sit by their food bowl and constantly meow at me for some reason. Why is this?

mine are 11 years old, original struts, just starting to soften up, but they still do the trick.

Mine are at least 16 years old. Any younger and you risk jailtime.

No mang, they're all soft and worn out, like a 90 year old dude's... you know...

Just go buy some new ones and install them. Have a friend help you if you've never done it before. Buy a 12 pack of beer and throw some steaks on the grill for having your more mechanically inclined friend helping you out.
