so i want to replace my 99 maxima speedometer but will my miles change???

so i want to replace my 99 maxima speedometer but will my miles change???

my 99 maxima marks more gas than it has and marks my car overheating to i want to change my speedometer but it marks my miles didital so will they change with a new one with different miles???

Yep, when you swap clusters the miles will change. Good luck getting a dealer to reprogram a cluster. My dealer said they wouldnt touch it

I recommend just finding a used one on ebay with similar miles to yours. You could technically increase the mileage on a digital cluster with a power supply and signal generator to simulate the speed sensor, but it probably isn't worth the effort. I don't think the dealers can change the mileage either. How many miles are on your car? I have a cluster with 135K.

you dont have to take to the dealer to do it i had a company in orange county caligornia do it for one that i purchased that turned out to be broken. there called pro speedo. they usually charge over 300 but since i bought the speedo from know friend of that company the carged me 125. but theres alot of comapany who do it google it.

mine has 141xxx how much for yours the guy with 135 and would it matter if its a cluster from an auto cause mines a 5 speed thanks for the replies

i replaced mine at 180 the new one reads 207 f*&k it ....

This is one of the few jobs I let my dealer do. They changed it out and set the milage to the correct number

.. a car with over 160 imo isnt worth **** to anyone but the owner lol i wil drive this piggy into the dirt and then rebuild a newer one

This, same way I feel about mine. I will be the last owner of it, so **** it. I dont give a rats *** if the mileage is off

ive got a 99 cluster for sale with 134,995 miles on it. maybe you should shoot me a pm and lets make a deal. it works, i hooked it to my car.
