quick strut installation

has anyone installed quick struts before? all the reviews briefly mention that the 3 studs need to be rotated but i have no idea how to do it. my studs/the top plate seem to match up with my old struts but the studs won't line up with the wheel well/under the hood

as in the full assembly with the strut/spring all read to go? all you have to do is remove the old strut, put in the quickslut so the bottom part/3 studs on the top match up the same way as the old one did and bolt em down

have you done it before? i have it in my garage right now and it doesn't line up

the reviews on it say something like "The top of the strut setup will need to be rotated to line up correctly with the bolt holes"

The upper mount rotates, it's on a bearing. Use some force and spin it, it will turn and align correctly to the 3 holes.

+1. Rotate the upper plate so the bolts line up with the holes.

when i go in for an alignment is it gonna be a big deal that i put these in? i know the top plates weren't identical to my previous ones so they don't line up with the axle exactly how they used to

No the old ones were just far out of spec after all these years. I suggest looking for a coupon for firestone lifetime alignments for $120 I think.
