Improving the lights

Hi guys . . . I've searched and searched, and about the only thing I've come up with is that it's NOT a good idea to put HID anything in the standard reflectors.
But I need better lights!
Are there any projector conversions that are affordable?
Or any kind of auxiliary HID spotlamps I could fit?

I got my whole retro setup from ebay. You can pm Maxgtr2000, he does retros as well and has very reasonable prices. He did mine.
