My recent suspension upgrade has taken "spirited driving" to a whole new level

So with every turn i can hear my 135lb sub set up swinging around and a few times the + and - ends of the capacitor have touched the body and it never ends well.

i've been over a couple ways with friends and co workers but i'd like some feedback from the org.

if you have subs in a box that isn't molded to your trunk in any way how do you keep it stationary?

Just screw in the corners to the actual trunk "cardboard" is what I did

Yea, use those L brackets. Any hardware store has them. Best and easiest way to bolt down your box.

i don't have that "cardboard" anymore i have a piece of plywood that is custom for that area but it's recessed and i can't really screw into it

where'd you bolt them in and where did ya get the brackets from?

use metal strapping, and bolt it to the rear deck area and the trunk floor

Best way, so should just get another piece of ply wood or a square one from a home depot or lumber store toss in and get the L shelf brackets...and call it a day....

Or you can get two 3in 1/2 in wood lag bolts, remove the back seat and go thru the back plate and into the back of the sub box. Your box will become one with the car.

I tool the cardboard out and used it to make a over sized plywood version and used l brackets

Dude jus go to home depot. Grab some decent sized L brackets. Screw them into the trunk cardboard. Bang! yur done

i used backstraps, my enclosure weighs around 96 lbs. i used 4 backstraps...i taped them up (for cosmetic reasons), used self tap screws, bent the backstrap in a U shape. i took one side of the "U" and used a few self tap screws to mount one end of the "U" bracket to the rear deck, and the other end to the top of my box, i put the "U" bracket in between the bars that go from one side of the trunk to the other, so it doesnt get in the way.

Double sided velcro. Back staps and brackets are awesome untill you need to remove your subs to gut your spare tire or jack. Some velcro strips under your box are descrete and cheap.

brackets are very easy to remove. I have one screw in each bracket anchored to the floor, I keep tools in my car. It takes all of a minute to take screws out

ive never had my sub slide around, ever. double sided velcro works perfectly for me. plus, that extra weight will slow you down when your haulin a$$....

actually when you have 100lb box in your trunk, and your run into a tree doing 55, it will bust through your backseat.....ask me how I know

Try these, that way you can remove your subs when you have to change a flat.

yo man...i got 150 watts rms Sony xplode 12" in my trunk and its plenty. I got the sub set on half max volume.

2 12"s is deafening lol

i have 2 12" JLs, i use witchcraft... nah i use the amp, and the box wedges in perfectly

I found L brackets work the best. Sucks we all have that problem, saggy spare tire cover thingy.
