When I read your post, I thought "What a guy!". So I clicked on the link to check it out.
What you loaded out to Google is the 1999 manual. Look at page 2 of the forward section.
Unless you have a 1999, this is the poorest choice manual for a 4th gen. Mechanically speaking, it is good. But electrically speaking, its almost like a different car. Nissan moved many electrical components, such as relays to different locations and used different wire colors. Plus there are more pollution control components. Add to this the security system is different with the addition of the chipped ignition key.
If you don't have a 1999 Max yourself, I would suggest you get a different version for yourself so that you don't burn up your electrical wiring trying to follow the 99 manual.
